      Poverty rates rise in America

According to this article on CNN, poverty rates have increased to there highest level since 1993. In addition, the middle class is being sqeezed in the current recession and they are losing wealth. Approximately, 46.2 million people live under the poverty line which is only $22,314 in income for a family of four. For an individual the poverty line is $11,139. These numbers astound me because what the number the government considers as "poverty" is so low. Also, the numbers are staggering that nearly 1 in 5 children now live in poverty according to the data.

I understand that the economy is terrible, but this article should send shockwaves in Washington. What the article shows is that more and more people are struggling to make ends meet. Further, it shows that a vast number of Americans are struggling to get a good job, credit, and are also riddled with debt. If you are a person who has credit card bills, payday loans, medical bills, or other significant debt and a low income you should certainly consider a bankruptcy. A bankruptcy, either a Chapter 7 or a Chapter 13 can stop the creditors from calling, collecting, and a lawsuit or potential garnishment. I have helped numerous clients just like you navigate the complex and difficult process of coming to terms with managing your debt. I am an experienced Chicago bankruptcy lawyer and I want you to lose your debt and keep your dignity! I offer a free consultation and would be more than happy to speak with you.
